Take Opportunities from JCI Approaching New Psychological Boundaries
- Four consecutive trading days since the close of trading on Friday, August 8, 2025 last week, the Indonesian stock market has performed impressively. As of Wednesday July 13, 2025, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) surged 1.30% to 7,892.91, setting a new record high in 2025 and almost equaling the all-time high (only 0.22% difference).
- The strengthening of JCI was again driven by net buy of foreign investors reaching Rp 1.49 trillion in all markets. Net foreign buy in the regular market reached Rp 1.52 trillion. Meanwhile, in the negotiation market, there was a net sell or foreign net sell of Rp 34.72 trillion.

Study on MBG Budget Swells to Rp 300 Trillion
- A number of experts advise the government to conduct periodic evaluations, research and long-term studies related to the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program due to the ballooning budget, which is estimated to reach Rp 300 trillion by 2026.
- The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) noted that the realization of the state budget for the MBG program as of 11 August reached Rp 8.2 trillion, which includes the establishment of 5,103 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) in 38 provinces and a total of more than 15 million beneficiaries.

Need to Balance Domestic Energy Needs and CPO Export Stability
- Crude palm oil (CPO) prices in the international market showed an upward trend, recording the highest level in four consecutive sessions.
- This increase was due to high demand from several crude palm oil importing countries such as India, which is having a festival season.
- Meanwhile, the government's plan to roll out a mandatory biodiesel policy, especially the implementation of B50 in early 2026, is also causing concern among palm oil entrepreneurs.

Spending Rises, Savings Index Drops Momentarily
- Increased expenditures, especially education costs entering the new school year, caused the Consumer Saving Index (IMK) in July to decline compared to the previous month.
- The results of the July 2025 Consumer Saving Survey released by the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) (10/8/2025) showed a weakening of the July Consumer Saving Index (IMK) to a level of 82.2 or a weakening of 1.6 points compared to June. IMK shows that interest and ability to save decreased in the July period.
