Indonesia Eyes Global Muslim Fashion Hub
- Jakarta will once again take the global fashion spotlight with the Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week (JMFW) 2026, set to take place November 6–9, 2025 at Kartika Expo Balai Kartini.

IHSG Nears New Psychological Threshold
- For four consecutive trading days since Friday, August 8, 2025, Indonesia’s stock market has shown impressive performance. By Wednesday, July 13, 2025, the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) rose 1.30% to 7,892.91, marking a new yearly high and nearly matching its all-time peak (a margin of just 0.22%).
- The rally was supported by foreign investors’ net buy of IDR 1.49 trillion across markets. In the regular market, net buy reached IDR 1.52 trillion, while in the negotiation market, foreign investors recorded a net sell of IDR 34.72 trillion.

Scrutiny as MBG Budget Swells to IDR 300 Trillion
- Experts are urging the government to conduct regular evaluations and long-term studies on the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program as its projected budget is expected to balloon to IDR 300 trillion in 2026.
- The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) reported that as of August 11, 2025, state budget realization for MBG reached IDR 8.2 trillion, funding the establishment of 5,103 Nutritional Service Units (SPPG) across 38 provinces, with more than 15 million beneficiaries.

Balancing Domestic Energy Needs with CPO Export Stability
- International crude palm oil (CPO) prices have continued an upward trend, marking four straight sessions of gains, largely driven by strong demand from key importers such as India during its festival season.
- Meanwhile, the government’s plan to roll out a mandatory biodiesel policy, particularly the B50 implementation in early 2026, is raising concerns among palm oil producers.

Rising Spending Pushes Savings Index Lower
- Higher household spending, especially on education at the start of the new academic year, has caused the Consumer Savings Index (IMK) to dip in July compared to the previous month.
- According to the July 2025 Consumer Savings Survey released by the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) on August 10, the IMK fell to 82.2, down 1.6 points from June, reflecting weaker interest and ability to save.
