Lombok, October 2, 2025 - Towards noon, Sayuk Wibawati is seen passing by her cake shop, which is also her production house. She was moving package after package of Nutsafir, Lombok's local grain-based cookies, into large cardboard boxes. Sayuk, the owner of Nutsafir, is preparing her product to be brought to the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2025, which will be held on October 3-5, 2025 at Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
Nutsafir is one of the products that will be sold in the Micro, Small and Medium EnterprisesUMKM) product exhibition area at the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2025 international motorcycle racing event. Together with nine other Pertamina-assisted UMKM entrepreneurs, Nutsafir products are expected to be favored by the public and foreign tourists visiting Mandalika.
"I had the opportunity to attend Pertamina's UMKM booth again this year. We hope that through the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia event, products can be better known, not only at the national level but also internationally," explained Sayuk Wibawati, owner of Nutsafir, when met at her cake shop located on Jalan Angsoka, Mataram City, Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
Established in 2012 as a home-based business, Nutsafir has now grown rapidly with 16 employees and a production capacity of 50 kilograms per day.
"Initially, we only produced one variant of mung bean cookies, only about 2 kg per day. Now we can produce at least 50 kg per day," he said.
This business journey has improved significantly since becoming Pertamina's fostered partner in 2021. Through the Pertamina UMK Academy event, Nutsafir won second place and received various training, ranging from digital marketing strategies to business management. In addition, Pertamina consistently opens promotional opportunities through national exhibitions and international events such as the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia.
"There are so many benefits. Apart from training, we are facilitated to participate in exhibitions, including Trade Expo Indonesia to Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia. The impact is huge, our turnover has increased, our market has expanded, and we can create more jobs," he added.
The distinctive taste of Nutsafir cookies is not only known as a typical Lombok souvenir that can be found in souvenir outlets, but has even penetrated the global market. Currently, the product has been shipped three times to Adelaide, Australia, and exported to New Zealand.
"We want NTB's local products to really be able to go global. Pertamina has given us an extraordinary opportunity to grow, we hope that this assistance will continue so that we can get bigger," concluded Sayuk.
Nutsafir is one of the UMKM fostered by Pertamina that will be presented at the Pertamina UMKM booth at this week's international event, in Mandalika, Lombok. Apart from Nutsafir, Pertamina also brought nine other UMKM from various industries, such as food and beverages, Lombok handicrafts and jewelry, and local fashion products.
Vice President Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero) Fadjar Djoko Santoso revealed that Pertamina's support for international events such as the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2025 is not only to intensify sports events. However, it is a strategic platform to raise local UMKM products to be more widely recognized to the global market, so that it can produce sustainable effects.
UMKM have the opportunity to market their products to visitors who are present in Mandalika, as well as expand the market to foreign tourists. We hope that this international event can spur the regional economy and other multiplier effects, especially in the tourism, UMKM, and economic sectors," Fadjar explained.
Pertamina, as a leading company in the field of energy transition, is committed to supporting the 2060 net zero emission target by continuing to encourage programs that have a direct impact on the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
