The government continues its efforts to alleviate poverty by expanding the scope of social safety net recipients. Ministry/agency budgets that have not been optimally absorbed are reallocated for this purpose.
The government is closely monitoring the circulation of illegal cigarettes. Until the end of September, 816 million illegal cigarettes were secured. This is one of the efforts to increase state revenue from excise.
Three months before the turn of the year, the absorption of expenditure fund allocations, especially to the Government Priority Program, is still relatively low. The realization of the state expenditure budget until September 2025 reached 63.4%. This performance was supported by the realization of the Transfer to Regions (TKD) budget, which reached 74.6%. Meanwhile, central government spending only reached 59.7% due to several ministries/agencies whose realization was below 50%.
As of September, state revenue has only reached 65% of the target, while state expenditure has only reached 63.4% of the target.
