Real Sector Desire to Rise, State Revenue Dependence on Palm Oil
- Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, in a plenary session of the House of Representatives on Tuesday (23/9/2025), said that real sector businesses play an important role as a contributor to state revenue and the motor of the country's economic growth this year and next year. SOE Minister Seat Still Vacant, Merger Discourse with Danantara Strengthens
- After Erick Tohir was sworn in as Minister of Youth and Sports at the State Palace, replacing Dito Ariotedjo who was reshuffled, the seat of Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) has yet to be filled by a definitive minister. Along with Erick's inauguration, on Wednesday (17/09/2025), President Prabowo Subianto appointed Deputy Minister of SOEs and Chief Operation Officer of the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency or Danantara, Dony Oskaria, as acting Minister of SOEs.
- The issue of merging the Ministry of SOEs with Danantara then surfaced after the President only appointed Dony as Minister of SOEs ad interim. Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, confirmed the discourse on the merger of the two institutions. However, Prasetyo said the merger was still under review.

- Chairman of the Legislation Body (Baleg) of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) Bob Hasan revealed that the Danantara Bill is urgently included in the list of national legislation programs (Prolegnas). According to him, the regulation is needed to tidy up the governance of BUMN, which currently overlaps with Danantara.

Maintain Financial Health, Change Bad Habits
- OCBC's Financial Fitness Index 2025 research indicates a decline in financial health among young people. The research, which targets young people aged 25-35, shows that the financial health of young Indonesians is far from perfect. Many bad habits are considered to interfere with good financial management.
- The OCBC research highlighted some bad habits that are damaging to financial health. Among others, 14% of respondents admitted that they spend more than they earn. Another 56% of respondents often pay their credit card bills at the minimum rate, a practice that can trap consumers in long-term debt.
- In addition, 39% of respondents often borrow money from friends or family. Another bad habit is that many respondents admitted to spending money just to follow their friends' lifestyles (76%). These findings further illustrate that excessive consumptive behavior can lead to an increase in consumer credit.
