How SPPG Fulfills Mandatory Certification for the MBG Program
- Because many students were poisoned by food from the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG), the government also required the nutrition service unit (SPPG) to have 3 certificates. The three mandatory certificates for MBG kitchens are, first, hygiene or Sanitation Hygiene Certificate (SLHS). Second, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) certificate - concerning food safety. The third is halal certification. SUAR visited 3 SPPGs in Jakarta to get the story of SPPGs trying to fulfill these mandatory certifications.

Indonesian filmmakers undeterred by Trump's 100% tariff threat
- Indonesian filmmakers are unlikely to be affected by US President Donald Trump's plan to impose a 100% tariff on all films produced abroad and shown in the US. A number of Indonesian films have also been shown in US theaters, such as Badarawuhi in Desa Penari and the comedy Agak Laen. With this policy in place, Indonesian filmmakers may be discouraged from distributing films to the United States.

Paid Internship Program to Curb Undergraduate Unemployment
- The government issued Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) Number 8 of 2025 on September 30, 2025 related to government assistance for apprenticeship programs. This Permenaker is a complete legal umbrella regarding the rules for implementing economic stimulus programs aimed at college graduates.
- This paid internship program is the government's breakthrough effort to reduce the unemployment rate among educated people. Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) shows that although the unemployment rate as of February 2025 decreased to 7.28 million people (4.76%), the unemployment rate among educated people actually increased by 17.3% compared to the conditions in August 2024.
