She's busy, she's not young anymore, but that doesn't stop former Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi from exercising. Wherever, whenever, she always makes time to move her body.

In several posts on her Instagram account, Retno often shows her jogging activities between jobs that demand high readiness.

However, even when her schedule is full, she still finds time to run. When she was still on duty in the United States, for example, because meeting schedules often started very early in the morning, she chose to run before sunrise. "There was no other choice, after dawn, I went jogging," said Retno, who currently serves as Independent Commissioner of PT Vale Indonesia Tbk.

In fact, exercise should not be abandoned, even when the weather is not friendly, Retno still takes the time to jog. Rainy conditions have been passed through. "You have to keep exercising, but you have to wear a poncho," she recalls.

Another busy person who loves running is economist Aviliani. She often posts her long-distance running activities on her Instagram account.

Meanwhile, Professor Himahanto Juwana often shows his muscular muscles after training at the gym. They are old professionals, but still prioritize discipline to exercise.

The current trend is that there are many senior professionals who, because of their busy schedules and need to stay fit, need to balance their lifestyle with exercise. Although sometimes the exercise that needs to be done by humans at this point, does not need to be as strenuous as what Retno Marsudi does.

There are many tips for professionals who are over 50 years old to choose the right type of exercise for themselves so that they do not injure themselves. Such as walking, light gymnastics or simply lifting weights. The key is routine.

Ideally, senior professionals need at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity per week or about 30 minutes per day for five days. If this seems like a lot, you can start with a lighter intensity and gradually increase it.

The trend of busy people exercising shows a shift in awareness of the importance of health in the midst of a busy life. People are starting to find ways to fit physical activity into their busy schedules, whether it's by exercising lightly at the office, utilizing breaks to get moving, or exercising in the morning before starting their activities.

Many people also work around their busy schedules by doing light exercise such as walking to or from work, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or stretching in the office.

And for professional seniors, you should also pay attention to muscle health by doing muscle strength training because it can reduce the risk of heart disease and diabetes, increase bone density, and reduce body fat. A healthy lifestyle for busy people who are no longer young is to pay attention to food and beverage intake to avoid various degenerative diseases, which are chronic diseases that can occur due to decreased organ or tissue function.

Managing stress is also part of the healthy lifestyle of these senior professionals. Such as a series of programs with special techniques of meditation, yoga, or relaxation exercises. These activities are quite effective in dealing with stress.

Stress can compromise the immune system. When your immunity is lowered, you will be susceptible to disease.
