What are the export opportunities to Canada and Europe?
- In the past month, Indonesia successfully signed two trade agreements with the European Union and Canada. The Indonesia-European Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IEU-CEPA) and the Indonesia-Canada Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (ICA-CEPA) are expected to double export performance in the next few years after implementation. Referring to data from the Ministry of Trade, the value of Indonesia's exports to the European Union last year reached US$30 billion, while exports to Canada only amounted to US$3.5 billion.

Blessings of 3 Million Houses Program and Subsidized Houses for Private Developers
- Private home developers have received a blessing because they are involved in the construction of 3 million units of houses until 2029 launched by President Prabowo Subianto. At the same time, the subsidized housing program through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) can help residents get houses supplied by private home developers. Based on data from the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP), developers who are members of Apersi have helped the government realize 55,188 FLPP housing units throughout Indonesia.
- FLPP is the government's most popular program because of the ease of facilities provided, ranging from installments, long tenors of up to 20 years, fixed installment interest, and insurance provided and included in the financing. This program works with 41 banks and 20 developer associations throughout Indonesia. The Management Agency (BP) for Public Housing Savings (Tapera) has realized 183,058 units of subsidized housing for low-income people with a financing value of 22.71 trillion," Heru said referring to data on the results of public housing development which has reached 52 percent of the target of 350,000 houses in 2025.

EU Appeals WTO Ruling, Indonesia's Position Remains Strong
- The European Union is appealing the World Trade Organization (WTO) ruling in favor of Indonesia in the biodiesel import duty case. The EU submitted the appeal plan on September 26, 2025.

- However, the EU's decision to appeal at the WTO will not affect Indonesia's position, because Indonesia has strong evidence and all allegations are not proven. How do entrepreneurs respond and strategize to this?

UMKM Actors Relieved that E-Commerce Tax is Postponed
- A number of UMKM businesses were relieved after Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa postponed the implementation of e-commerce tax. One of them is Riansya Fikri, owner of the Zenita Muslim fashion brand, who is happy with the postponement of this policy. According to Fikri, without additional tax deductions, business actors will be more free to design financial balance.

Keep the Momentum of Increasing Motorcycle Sales
- Data from the Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI) shows that domestic motorcycle sales in July and August 2025 increased compared to the previous months.
- Sales in July 2025 reached 587,048 units, up from 505,350 units in May and 509,326 units in June. In August, sales were still high but not as high as in July, at 578,041 units. These figures show the consistent growth of motorcycle sales in the domestic market, signaling that people's purchasing power is improving.

This report is usually released monthly through the official page of the BPS website.
