Humans are naturally created to live and develop in their communities. Through social interaction, humans can grow, develop themselves, and improve their existence.

So when humans only work in solitude, lacking interaction with other human beings, they will find it difficult to make innovations - which can benefit their community.

Likewise in an organization, individuals who lack interaction with other organizational members will also find it difficult to make optimal contributions to their organization. The lack of direct interaction between people in a company organization will make the company dry with challenging fresh ideas.

This is where the concept of employee engagement becomes a value that needs to be held in the company culture. According to Boston University organization and management expert Professor William Kahn, employee engagement is a condition in which an employee brings their full self, physically, cognitively, and emotionally, into their role at work, thus motivating loyalty and commitment to the organization.

Employee engagement is defined as the empowerment of organizational members towards their work roles, in engagement, people use and show themselves physically, cognitively, and emotionally while performing their duties in the company organization.

From the employee's side, there are indeed various perspectives in addressing his relationship with the employer company. There are those who think that working is limited to doing a job desk. So that their days are only filled with the activities of morning roll call, doing tasks according to the price tag, then going home after clocking in at the end of the day.

This situation triggers a lack of interaction and leads to less engagement from the employee. He has no ties to the company, no feeling for the place he works.

This tendency can even lead to the phenomenon of eating a colleague's bones. A person whose work duties are sometimes taken over by other colleagues, due to the lack of initiative to do the assigned tasks. So his boss delegates the task to another friend, even though it is not his job, because he does not want the task to go unhandled.

So, in every corporate organization, it is mandatory to foster a spirit of conscious employee involvement in every process carried out. Employees who have employee engagement in the company will work consistently and not easily give up when facing problems at work.

The company must foster a spirit of conscious employee involvement in every process undertaken.

Employees who are tied to the company will provide work performance that continues to increase, because of their dedication, so that a sense of responsibility arises to continue working and contribute to the success of the company in achieving its goals.

Employees who have engagement values are workers who are fully engaged and passionate about their work. This view states that employee engagement not only makes employees contribute more, but also makes them have higher loyalty, thus reducing the desire to leave the company voluntarily.

For this ecosystem to form, strong leadership is needed to guide and inspire each individual in the organization to own and share the spirit of the company's purpose.

Organizations also need to instill a culture of caring about the work process and achieving common goals. With employee engagement, they will proactively look for ways to contribute to the organization's progress, which will also impact them.
