The Indonesian Editors Forum will hold a Run For Good Journalism 2025 event on Sunday (16/11) in Jakarta.
This fun run event is part of the quality journalism movement and efforts to support media sustainability, which has been carried out by the Editors Forum together with all press policy makers in the country.
Chairperson of the Pemred Forum Retno Pinasti said that there needs to be a sustainable and planned effort in guarding the sustainability of the media and quality journalism. "The Fun Run For Good Journalism activity is part of our efforts to keep the quality journalism movement and media sustainability alive," said Retno Pinasti.
Retno Pinasti further explained that the sustainability of quality media requires the ability to transform, be adaptive, have integrity, and be loyal to the journalistic code of ethics in the midst of rapid technological changes.
"Challenges that are not easy must be faced together. Fighting hoaxes and disinformation requires excellent stamina. Quality content is the key to media sustainability," said Retno Pinasti, who is also SCTV's Chief Editor .
Journalism award
Run For Good Journalism was attended by 350 participants from various regions in Indonesia, including media figures, senior journalists, and editor-in-chief of national media.
During the Run For Good Journalism event, the winners of the Editors' Forum Journalism Award in the categories of newspaper, online media, radio and television will be announced.
Retno Pinasti added, the committee had provided a number of attractive door prizes for the runners including an entertainment stage. "All who participate must be happy, we want the campaign for quality journalism and media sustainability to get the support of a wide audience," she concluded.
