The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) presented its 2025 Performance Achievements and 2026 Work Plan as part of its efforts to strengthen transparency, accountability, and institutional performance disclosure. The event took place on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 10:24 a.m. Western Indonesian Time, at the Kompolnas Office.
The Secretary of Kompolnas, Drs. Arief Wicaksono, SSA., was present as a guest speaker and expressed his appreciation to the commissioners and media personnel who have been actively supporting Kompolnas's performance in disseminating information to the public.
He emphasized that the media plays a very important role in educating the public about the performance of the Indonesian National Police (Polri). "We would like to thank the media for always supporting the performance of Kompolnas, which always invites us to provide information to the public about the performance and work of the Indonesian National Police," he said.
On this occasion, Arief Wicaksono also highlighted a number of important events that marked milestones in the history of national law. One of these was the enactment of the new Criminal Code (KUHP).
"On January 2, history was made with the enactment of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the implementation of the new Criminal Code. This is historic," he explained.

In addition, he conveyed fundamental changes in national criminal procedure law. "With the enactment of Law Number 20 of 2025, which replaces Law Number 8 of 1981 concerning criminal procedure law, this is also a historic event," he added.
Going forward, Kompolnas is also awaiting recommendations from the Police Reform Acceleration Commission, which will be submitted to the President of the Republic of Indonesia. "There will be recommendations from the Police Reform Acceleration Commission, which will be submitted to the President of the Republic of Indonesia regarding what needs to be improved, both in terms of governance and police reform," he said.
Concluding his presentation, the Secretary of Kompolnas invited all parties to welcome 2026 with a spirit of fair and transparent legal reform.
"Let's move forward into 2026 with greater legal certainty, fairness, and transparency for all of us," he concluded.
