PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) continues to show positive performance in its efforts to maintain national energy security in the Rokan Zone. PHR recorded important achievements following the successful drilling of development wells in the Ampuh field with brilliant production.

The Ampuh well (AH030) recorded an initial production yield of 2,098 barrels of oil per day (BOPD). The Ampuh well production test was very encouraging following the production of pure crude oil with no water or gas content.

This achievement is also PHR's commitment in optimizing the potential of existing oil and gas resources. This brilliant production is also proof that WK Rokan still has great potential as one of the backbones of national oil and gas production.

"This success not only increases national oil reserves and production, but also provides great optimism for the oil and gas industry in Indonesia. Of course, it cannot be separated from the hard work of the nation's children involved in it, workers who are tested and continue to innovate in an effort to maintain national energy security," said PHR Managing Director Ruby Mulyawan.

The AH030 well was drilled using directional drilling technique with the concept of "local attic development". The drilling targeted the Menggala Formation (Fm) Reservoir in the MN-5580 rock layer, with additional layers BK-5000 and MN-5540.

This effort was carried out within three weeks by prioritizing smooth, safe and secure operations. The positive and efficient performance of workers in the field is a step forward in achieving the production target in order to realize energy self-sufficiency as the Asta Cita of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.

This production achievement demonstrates the success of Ampuh Field's effective, collaborative and integrated development strategy between thesubsurface, reservoir, drilling and production operations teams.

Head of SKK Migas, Djoko Siswanto, expressed his appreciation for the achievements made by Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR). "The production test results from the AH030-NW1 well show that the efforts of technical innovation and optimization of human resources in WK Rokan have yielded tangible results. This is a positive signal for the achievement of the 2026 national production target," said Djoko Siswanto.

Furthermore, Djoko added that this result is a trigger for enthusiasm to continue exploring the potential for additional production from low quality reservoirs (LQR) which are currently being evaluated by SKK Migas and PHR.

The effort will be directed towards development through multi-stage fracturing (MSF) technology at several potential points in WK Rokan.

SKK Migas considers the achievement of this production test as an indicator of the successful collaboration of the government, the national upstream oil and gas industry and Pertamina Hulu Rokan, as well as a real step towards the 2026 national oil production target of 610,000 BOPD which is the 2026 state budget target.

"We will continue to strengthen synergy with all cooperation contractors, where the success of MSF at PHE can be used as an example for all KKKS, we immediately instructed Pertamina and other KKKS to carry out MSF work as many as 100 wells and drilling in newly discovered fields during exploration drilling as many as 100 wells both onshore and offshore," concluded the Head of SKK Migas, Djoko Siswanto.
