Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa supports the quality journalism movement and media sustainability. This was conveyed by Purbaya at the Fun Run For Good Journalism 2025 event organized by the Editors' Forum at Atmajaya University Jakarta, Sunday (16/11).
Purbaya also reminded the media to continue to carry out the control function while offering good solutions.
"What I have seen in recent years is that all journalists are silent. They never give criticism, as a result our economy is difficult," said Purbaya, greeted by applause from the audience.
Furthermore, Purbaya hopes that with the spirit of good journalism, there will always be constructive criticism and solutions from the media for the good of Indonesia.
"Good journalism is good. For the future, give good criticism, but also give solutions if possible. Those who control the future direction include journalists too. If not, we will all go in the wrong direction," said Purbaya on stage shortly before handing over prizes to the winners of the 2025 Pemred Forum Journalism Award.
Minister of Finance Purbaya asked the media to keep reminding him. "Congratulations everyone for good journalism. Correct me well, if I am wrong, please give me a correction, so that we are going in the right direction," said Purbaya.
