The Indonesian Palm Oil Association (Gapki) is committed to increasing palm oil/CPO production to 57 million tons by 2025.
Gapki Chairman Eddy Martono said that his party is committed to increasing palm oil/crude palm oil (CPO) production in 2025 to 57 million tons, driven by domestic consumption for biodiesel. This target is an increase from the actual CPO production in 2024, which reached 52 million tons.
Mandatory B40 to Take Effect January 1, 2025
The government has mandated the use of diesel fuel blended with 40% palm oil-based biodiesel, or B40, starting January 1, 2025. Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman expressed his appreciation to all agricultural stakeholders for achieving the highest rice production in the last seven years. During the Food Availability Coordination Meeting ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H at the Ministry of Agriculture Headquarters on March 24, 2025, he said that based on projections, rice production from January to April 2025 is estimated to reach 24.22 million tons of milled dry grain (GKG), the highest for the same period in the last seven years.
In addition, the government's absorption of unhusked rice has also increased significantly. From January to mid-March 2025, the absorption of unhusked rice reached 539,274 tons, much higher than the same period last year, which was only 35,000 tons.

In 2024, palm oil exports to Russia will reach 680,000 tons. Based on this figure, Gapki is targeting palm oil exports from Indonesia to Russia to exceed 1 million tons in 2025. Gapki Chairman Eddy Martono is optimistic that this target can be achieved in the near future.
Eddy also revealed that palm oil exported to Russia is still in the form of refined palm oil, which is a palm oil derivative produced from the purification process of CPO (crude palm oil).

Gapki: CPO Exports Skyrocket 35 Percent in June
Indonesian palm oil exports in June 2025 did indeed experience a significant surge, skyrocketing by around 35% compared to the previous month, driven by increases in volume and average prices, as well as increased demand from major markets such as China and India, despite a separate decline in exports to India.
