The Industrial Confidence Index (IKI) in January 2025 reached 53.10 points, up 0.17 points compared to December 2024.
The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) revealed that the Industrial Confidence Index (IKI) in January 2025 was recorded at 53.1 points, an expansion or an increase of 0.17 points compared to the December 2024 period (month to month/m to m), which was recorded at 52.93 points.
Ministry of Industry spokesperson Febri Hendri Antoni Arief said in a press conference on the IKI release held in Jakarta in January 2025 that of the 23 sub-sectors analyzed, 20 sub-sectors experienced expansion and three sub-sectors experienced contraction. The sub-sectors that experienced contraction were the food and beverage industry and the computer, electronic goods, and other processing industries.

PT Astra Daihatsu Motor Inaugurates Karawang Assembly Plant 2 in Karawang
Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita delivered a speech at the inauguration of PT Astra Daihatsu Motor's (PT ADM) Karawang Assembly Plant 2 (KAP2) in the Suryacipta Industrial Park, Karawang, on February 27, 2025. He expressed his appreciation for ADM's new factory, which will strengthen the automotive industry. As ADM's sixth factory, this new facility, covering an area of nearly 23 hectares, was built to meet customer demand for the growing domestic and global automotive market, with an investment of Rp 2.9 trillion.
Indonesia Becomes the First Country in Asia to Have Apple R&D Facilities
The construction of Apple's Research and Development (R&D) facility in Indonesia will make Indonesia the second country in the world and the first in Asia to have such an Apple facility. Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said in a press conference held on February 27, 2025, that until now, Apple has only built R&D facilities in the United States and only one country outside the United States, namely Brazil.

Permenperin 13/2025 Issued, Industry Required to Report Data Periodically
The Ministry of Industry has issued Minister of Industry Regulation (Permenperin) Number 13 of 2025 concerning Procedures for Submitting Industrial Data, Industrial Area Data, Other Data, Industrial Information, and Other Information through the National Industrial Information System (SIINas). This Permenperin came into effect in April 2025 since its issuance in March 2025.
