Jakarta Emerges as Strategic Market for Global Data Centers
- Jakarta seems to have a competitive advantage in Southeast Asia. Its data center construction cost is Rp 187,207 per watt, lower than Singapore and Tokyo. This was revealed in the Data Centre Construction Cost Index 2025 report released by Turner & Townsend, a global professional services firm specializing in project and cost management primarily in the property, infrastructure and natural resources sectors.
- One of the factors driving Indonesia to become a strategic market is the growing demand for facilities that are ready to adopt and utilize AI technologies. However, there are still a number of challenges that arise due to this demand, ranging from rising operational costs to the use of high-voltage power systems. While Indonesia is considered to have adequate electricity supply, the challenge lies in infrastructure, especially in high-voltage transmission. The local supply chain to support the advanced cooling technology required by AI data centers is also an important thing to consider.

- To ensure that the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program runs without hiccups, a large injection of funds is ready to flow into the livestock sector. The Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (Danantara) is committed to pouring IDR 20 trillion to build an integrated chicken farming network starting in 2026.

Credit disbursement for household consumption and UMKM spurs economic growth
- The dominant contribution of household consumption and UMKM as drivers of the economy is supported by the swift distribution of consumption credit from banks and other financial service institutions. In the Q3 economic growth release, household consumption credit was recorded to grow 7.74% year-on-year.

House Prices Grow Slightly
- The Residential Property Price Index (IHPR) in the third quarter of 2025 grew by 0.84% year on year (YoY), slightly lower than the growth in the second quarter of 2025 of 0.90% YoY. The research released by Bank Indonesia (BI) noted that there was a slowdown in the increase of small and medium house prices, which grew by 0.71% YoY and 1.18% YoY respectively, lower than 1.04% YoY and 1.25% YoY in Q2-2025. Meanwhile, the price of large houses grew by 0.72% YoY in Q3-2025, relatively stable compared to the previous quarter which grew by 0.70% YoY.

Labor Wages Rise, Purchasing Power Can Be Better
- The National Employment Survey (Sakernas) released by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) states that the average labor wage in August 2025 was IDR 3.33 million per month, up 1.94% compared to the same period in 2024. There are nine business fields whose wages are higher than the national average.
- When viewed by business field, workers in the information and communication sector received a higher wage of IDR 5.28 million per month. This figure increased by almost 6% compared to last year. Other workers who received higher wages were also found in finance and insurance (IDR 5.12 million), electricity and gas procurement (IDR 5.07 million), and mining (IDR 4.98 million). There are five other businesses whose workers receive higher wages than the national average, namely those working in government administration, in real estate, professional and corporate activities, in transportation, and health.

The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) as the operator of the Indonesia Carbon Exchange (IDXCarbon) will participate in COP 30 which takes place in Belém, Brazil, November 10-21, 2025, at the Hangar Convention & Exhibition Center. IDX's participation through the Indonesian Pavilion aims to showcase the potential of carbon projects in Indonesia to the world, through two main sessions, namely the Seminar themed "Indonesia's Carbon Market Outlook: Enhancing Indonesia's Carbon Market Integrity and Transparency" and Sellers meet Buyers session to facilitate discussion and exploration of Indonesian carbon projects for interested parties. The October 2025 Bank Indonesia (BI) Consumer Survey will be released by Bank Indonesia (BI) on Monday, November 10, 2025. This survey is a survey conducted periodically every month by BI to measure consumer confidence in Indonesia's economic conditions. Various indices such as the Consumer Confidence Index (CCI), Current Economic Conditions Index (CCI), and Consumer Expectations Index (CEC) also become the main exposure in the survey results.
